Opportunistic infections among people living with HIV/AIDS attending antiretroviral therapy clinics in Gedeo Zone, Southern Ethiopia.

Opportunistic infections (OIs) are more common and severe among people with suppressed immunity like those living with HIV/AIDS (PLWH). This study aimed to assess the prevalence of OIs and associated factors among PLWH attending antiretroviral therapy (ART) clinics in the Gedeo zone, Southern Ethiopia. A facility based retrospective cohort study was conducted from April to June 2018 among PLWH attending ART clinics in Gedeo zone, Ethiopia from November 2016 – November 2017. A simple random sampling method was used to select the both paper based and electronic study participants’ charts.
